Community Service

The Community Service Program is one facet of our Enrichment Programs, which provides youth with volunteer opportunities. Some of the activities our youth participate in are:

• Habitat for Humanity
• Visiting nursing home residents
• Helping community members who have disabilities with basic yard work
• Community bike giveaways
• Free bike safety inspections

During the summer months the residents also aid state agencies with projects such as:

• Litter pick-up on two miles of state highway
• Rehabilitation of ranch land back to open prairie
• Forest Service trail maintenance and painting of campground buildings
• Assisting the Wyoming Department of Game and Fish with projects such as stocking lakes with fish

Through participation in these activities our youth raise their awareness for others needs, gain a sense of self worth, and learn they have the power to effect positive change in society.

(For the following sentence if you could put it in a picture on the page, such as on a plaque, in the shape of an animal, or something that will stand out, but not be just another sentence added to the page)
In 1995, we were named the Wyoming Department of Game and Fish “Volunteer of the Year” for our efforts in wildlife conservation.
