Cottage Life

The housing units at Cathedral Home are referred to as “cottages.” They are divided into male and female ranch style homes. The layout of each cottage is different but the design is intended to provide a warm, inviting, and familial environment. Each cottage has its own director, counselor, and group of staff members. These individuals come together to create unique cottage teams whose focus is relationship building, safety, and the completion of treatment goals.

In addition to the cottages on the main campus of Cathedral Home, there are also three houses within the town of Laramie. These homes provide a focus on independent living skills but remain within the structured residential treatment setting. These homes also have a director, counselor, and dedicated team of staff members.

Because each cottage and house has a unique set of residents and staff, there may be differing rules and expectations depending on the needs of the residents. The main expectation for the entire campus is:

Always demonstrate respect for yourself and others while maintaining a safe environment to learn, live, and grow.
