Peer Workers

Peer Workers are teenagers who volunteer at the Crisis Center each week in order to provide positive role models for other youth. Peer Workers are 16-18 years old. Peer Workers “hang out” with the Crisis Center residents and listen to their concerns and are supported by the youth workers. Peer Workers have a valuable job as sometimes youth find it more comfortable to talk to someone their age.

Teen Text Line (460-0811)

The text line is manned by teenagers who are supported by the youth workers. Teens have questions and concerns that they may feel more comfortable conveying via text. This is available Thursday – Sunday 5pm-10pm.
