Contact is maintained with each resident’s home school district to help provide a smooth transition back to his or her home school.

Toward the end of their stay residents are encouraged to attend classes at Albany County public schools on a part time basis. This is a transition step back to their home schools when students have demonstrated readiness and potential for success. Residents may also graduate from MOEC; state outlined graduation requirements are followed. If graduation from the home school district is preferred, MOEC registrar works closely with individual districts to ensure that the student is enrolled in the proper courses to meet their states requirements for graduation. Out-of-state exit exams and yearly assessments are also administered to MOEC students as well.
